2010

Serralunga asked Deepdesign to redesign two classic furniture pieces of their brand. First, they challenged Deepdesign and Antonio to redefine their classic Chesterfield armchair by considering rotational molding technology.
The classic Chesterfield seating, with button tufting and rounded armrests, was suddenly given an entirely new interpretation in the Chester Lit Sofa. This unique product and their innovative drainage system required light fixtures simply put together.

The same year, Serralunga also asked to redesign the Barcelona Armchair of Mies van de Rohe, by using new materials able to stand the outdoors. The Barceloneta armchair is easily stackable. Both innovative and comfortable, the allure of this classic piece is kept through the use of soft plastic materials. The engineering of the two seats has been developed with Andrea Trevisan
