Nirù

Puppet

2018

“A small wooden puppet - a charm to keep and hang. A boy made of Ebony wood who holds a brass olive branch in his hand. Inspired by southern Italian myths, Nirù depicts a micro version of Grifone, a Moor who is not a warrior but who carries an olive branch. A meaning that is to be read by the child in all of us. The marionette was built by Antonio’s Grandfather and hand-painted by the Designer himself.”
