Gallo & Pavone
Sculptures
2018
Inspired by Southern Italian traditions: the Pupi Siciliani. The two armour/sculptures represent combatants issued from an old epic song: the Roland, who wore magical armatures which gave powers to the wearer. The first figure is The Gallo, a colourful rooster armature which grants joy and happiness to his user. The second figure is The Pavone, a silver and golden armature which instils in the wearer the power of beauty and vanity.
