Parlantina
Foldable Chair
2019
Parlantina is an archetype of a folding chair from the Seventies that has been re-made by hand in Calabria by Antonio Aricò’s carpenter Grandfather. Parlantina means in Italian “that which talks a lot”. Showcased for the first time in Naples, Aricò wanted to use a few words engraved into the frame of the chairs to write a little poem dedicated to southern Italian lifestyle: Benvenuto, Siediti, Al Sole, Al Mare, Aspetta Qua!
